Why Spammers Suck Hard

I spend about an hour a day removing all kind of spams from different sites and NO I don’t read them all. Some are so spammy that there is know way that they could ever be mistaken for a real comment or review. BAM out the door they go, I don’t even check the IP to see where it came from! You know the type it has four words and ten links without even a clever user name.

The ones I hate are the ones that look real with NO links. They say Good job, nice website! With a persons name for the user name. I let is pass but the next day I have ten more with one link each all from different people. I’m ok with the link so I let them be published too. The next day I have twenty more with four links each! That is when I get the idea that I have done something horribly wrong. OMG I cant delete them fast enough because I have been duped! So for the next few weeks I get to spend my time hitting the delete button until they just give up.

I just have to ask: Dont they think I have better ways of spending my time than to deal with there BS? I don’t think that they care about anything but what they are doing and I was told by my Mom and Dad that thats was wrong!!

SPAMMERS: When you are out spamming just ask your self what would you parents think if they could see what you are doing to other people?

Lately I have been fighting with review spammers on a website that I care for. It has been a horoablr and brutal battle with no end in sight. The website is set up with a simple review function so that people can review the products. Well the idea is good but I had not thought of ways that people can abuse this function. It seems that every day the site takes in about ten or so spam reviews, oh they are the purest form of spam. All it seems to be is a bunch of websites all in a row with NO real content or value. I don’t mind people pitching their websites in a review, but this is ridicules!

My first attempt at discouraging them was a fake virus warning that I attaches to the review button, but that just pissed them off so they started to spam the contact form. I think I will put that back up for a few more days with a few more changes to make it look more real.

For now I just keep deleting them as fast as I can, so the review is never indexed.
