The first thing is that if I turned on my turn signal that meant it was ok to pass me on that side. Just an FYI most all trucks now days have an alarm that goes off if you leave the turn signal on to long. The next thing I learned is that if I could hear a car horn I needed to turn up the stereo. I had to ask somebody about the one finger wave they explained that it was the other driver’s way of saying that I was number one in their book. The whole car position thing is if you are getting off at the next exit you must be in front of every body else before doing so and you are getting on the freeway you must be in front of the traffic that is already there so they can slow down. As for the rest of what you have said in your blog eating, drinking, getting dressed, watching TV, putting on makeup, and having sex are all part of the driving experience that is why cars are made so comfortable so it feels like you are in your own house. As for all the dumb things a truck driver does on the road and believe me that list is too long to put here, there is on one explanation the driver is asleep. I know from experience. I guess my point is people have become too comfortable in the hum drum routines of their life.
