I changed the names to protect the … they dont need any more press than they have.

The CL spamers have a new trick, well its new to me. They send you a email that looks harmless enough and than BAM if you reply to it they hit you with tons of Spam.

Let me start from the beginning so as not to look like a spamers myself. I was selling some stuff on CL with a link to my other website, for no other reason than I am notoriously lazy when it comes to posting things, so I post one thing and people look at my other stuff too. Well I have a contact page with email, phone, etc but thats not how they are getting me. They send me an email about what I am advertising that looks like a ligament inquiry and when I replied by the next morning I had five emails from other email address of just junk.

You may think that I would know better but I trust that most people will do whats right. Well thats where I went wrong, as we all know that spamers are not big on doing whats right or proper if they did they wouldn’t be spamers.

Can this plague on the Internet ever be stopped or are they just a blight that must be endured for as long as the net holds together? The way I see it is that it will only stop when it proves to no longer be profitable. Keep that in mind when you actually read some of them thinking that what ever they are selling looks good!

While fueling my Harley at my favorite gas station it occurred to me that I was being cheated. Just take a minute to look at things form a logical view point. If you are getting only 2.5 gallons of gas, I run premium, it is logical to wonder how much of it is really premium. The person before me was purchasing regular so the lines where full of that when I rolled up. So if I get super the first gallon is most likely regular grade. My conclusion is the I just paid super price for regular gas. What a rip off, I have been cheated by how ever much gas was in the lines when I made my purchase.

The amount of cyclist cheated every year is staggering! I can only speak for myself but I would love to have $ .10 of the first gallon of gas form EVERY motorcycle on the road today, I can say that work would be missing me. Just think of it .10 for each scoot running on each day all year long.

Just think of it!

 I started in business in better times and this is my first real bout with this economy. All the rule have changed and I will admit that I have been a slow learner, but I am learning. Not so many years ago some of us in the same industry worked together, to some extent, to deal with all the problems running a business brings. Everything from inventory issues, to shipping. Now all the rule have changed to the point where it is truly cutthroat and you don’t dare show any sign of weakness or your “friend” will put a knife in your back and then push you off the cliff. I now keep my supplier, distributors, and customers very quiet. When I would normally ask for help, now I am alone and I just don’t understand why things have to be that way.

I had a great idea for a product usage in an untapped market. Well, I let it slip what I was thinking and now I am being squeezed out of that market. That really hurts to have someone you trust do that to you! Is this really where things are going for the human race? You see, I don’t see this as a business short coming but rather as the human race falling short of its true potential. When we all work together just think about all the great things that have been accomplished. It has been said that no man is an island, but that is the way we are heading.

This is a sad day my friends when I am forced to admit that we, the human race, it failing due to our inability to work together for the common good. As my wife has pointed out to me, business has always been that way. And that one persons idea, quickly becomes many peoples idea. I guess that is why there is a patent office, although it doesn’t apply to this case.

Note: I know this sounds like a sour grapes scenario, but I believe if we’re all going to make it out to see the other end, working together is the best solution.

There is a lot of talk a bout the state of the environment and some are doing something about it. But I just have to ask it there half hearted efforts are for the good of the planet or just an attempt to keep up with the PC (Politically Correct ) people. It just amazes me that there are those that put up a few solar panels and cry at the top of there lungs about how they are going to save the environment single handed but they wont give up their SUV. Yes that’s right they drive around with one person in the car choking down gas like its their right just because they recycle or something.

Before I get into a rant, I would like to say that YES, I do drive a 4 wheel drive pick up, but very seldom is it just me,it’s all I have. I do recycle, but not as much as I should, I am trying to do what I can with what I have. The key here is that you would never know that I do anything because I’m quiet about it. I guess that as long as people are doing something that’s all the really matters, but can they keep their mouths shut about it. I get so tired of any one that has an attitude of superiority, especially if it something of such importance.

Nothing pisses me off faster than posers of any kind, I see a lot of them when I ride my scooter ( motor cycle ) you know the type, they ride only when the weather is between 70 – 80 degrees with dry pavement and they call them selves bikers. Well I have some news for you I ride all year long and I’m not a biker!

I guess what I’m trying to say is Posers beware I see you and I know who you are.

The fastest way to get me fired up is to sit and whine about how bad the economy is. What a load of crap! Ya things are bad but bitching about it just makes things worse, cant you see that? Lets do some simple math, just stay with me for a few minutes.

1. You sniffle to 7 people

2. 7 people whine to 7 people each

3. each of them bitch to 7 other people

4. In turn they cry to 7 sheeple

5. In this one day bitch fest you have infected 2401 people with your bad views of the economy and in fact you just influenced the economy in a small way.

The economy is in the simplest terms is driven by the consumers and how they vote with there dollars. Just look what you have done with your bad vibes all in one day! YOU just screwed up the economy of a country in one day.

My advice to you is to keep your mouth SHUT! Most people are really sheep people (sheeple) they will blindly follow anyone that is easy to follow, giving up is always the easiest thing to do.

I have to admit that some of the spammers are getting nicer about the way they do things but…DAM its still spam. I think that they got my email from twitter, that sucks, but I will live with that. You know how it is if you spend any time online than you risk having your email sold or traded.

This is one of the NICE spams I have received, with some editing so you cant follow any links, I don’t work for them so they don’t need any more leads.

Spring Brake 2009

With a spring in my step and the best of intentions we headed out with the kids for what we hoped would be the best brake ever. The trip by car was to end up in Apache Junction Arizona to visit my wifes Grand Parents. As far as that goes we did make it there, but the trip took its tole on us both physically and emotionally. I will be jumping around a bit just to keep you on your toes

Arizona should come with a warning label on it to keep people OUT. When I thought about Arizona the things that came to mind is that it is a hot barron country with not much to see. Well that is SO WRONG. Its not vary hot in March and for thous of us that suffer from allergies it is Not the place to be EVER! It seems that everything in this God forsaken area blooms, believe me it was a bad thing for me. Now I know what Hell is really like in the sense that no matter where you go something is blooming and the wind will carry it for miles. If you are looking for some place with a dry heat for your health this is NOT the place to be if you have allergy’s. Never have I seen so many sick people in one spot in all my life. What is the deal are they nuts? I didn’t get to feeling better until we where back in Nevada. I have some pictures to back up what I am saying, so just keep your nasty comments to your self!

Why Spammers Suck Hard

I spend about an hour a day removing all kind of spams from different sites and NO I don’t read them all. Some are so spammy that there is know way that they could ever be mistaken for a real comment or review. BAM out the door they go, I don’t even check the IP to see where it came from! You know the type it has four words and ten links without even a clever user name.

The ones I hate are the ones that look real with NO links. They say Good job, nice website! With a persons name for the user name. I let is pass but the next day I have ten more with one link each all from different people. I’m ok with the link so I let them be published too. The next day I have twenty more with four links each! That is when I get the idea that I have done something horribly wrong. OMG I cant delete them fast enough because I have been duped! So for the next few weeks I get to spend my time hitting the delete button until they just give up.

I just have to ask: Dont they think I have better ways of spending my time than to deal with there BS? I don’t think that they care about anything but what they are doing and I was told by my Mom and Dad that thats was wrong!!

SPAMMERS: When you are out spamming just ask your self what would you parents think if they could see what you are doing to other people?

I have been watching to economy with some interest these days, being one of the poor masses. What I have discovered is, just as I have said in the past, that things will turn around sooner rather than later. This is just my interpretation of what I see and hear in my little corner of the world. I wrote this to answer a few questions about what I see, feel and hear.

YES, we have been hit by having our, my wife and myself, work hours cut making our income less by a good chunk. To react to this I am always looking for ways to to increase our income or cut our family cost. At poverty (or near) level income it hard to find places to cut but every little bit helps and the trick is to look in places that are over looked.

The interesting thing about our current economy is that it has a kick in the head effect that will be the hardest thing to overcome. Let me explain the kick in the head effect for thous that have never been kicked.

You open a letter from your credit card company and it starts with: Due to the hard economic times we are going to increase your interest rate by an ungodly amount and if you don’t like it cut up your card and pay us off or declare bankruptcy we don’t care! Thanks for paying us every month for the last five or so years.

Here is another one: Due to the high cost of fuel we are going to increase the cost of your garbage service and it will NEVER go down if the cost of fuel goes down. Thanks for paying us for years and we do know that you are paying the same for fuel as we do, but we don’t care about your cost, just ours.

This is my personal favorite: At the grocery store you see that you cant afford the good looking produce so you look at the… well not so nice looking produce, you know the things I am talking about it looks like it belongs in a farmers compost heap but it is proudly displayed, fly s and all. Now just a minute it is the same cost as the good stuff! So you grab some Ramen noodles and leave in a hurry before someone that you know sees that you are trying to feed your family on next to nothing.

Now that I have covered the kick in the head effect let me tell you about the up side in my world: Summer is just around the corner and we can grow some of our own food, that will help. We are almost making enough to pay all the bills, what little savings we have is covering the rest. Hummm thats about it for the good side, just surviving is the best we can do.

Just a quick recap on where I was going with all of this.
1.Income is down
2.Costs are going up (kick in the head effect)
3.Summer is coming and things look better in the sunlight
4.Surviving is as good as it gets, for now

When we ALL do the best we can to make things better they will GET BETTER in spite of the doom and gloom economic forecasters. We went out to dinner! What have you done to stimulate the economy?
