Our family was having dinner when the power went out leaving us in the dimly lit house, wondering what was going on. The boys where distraught to think that we had NO power to run their games and the TV. I, being more practical pointed out that we had no heat, light, or water.
“No water?” exclaimed my youngest boy. “How are we going to flush the toilets?”
My oldest boy said that it was going to be okay, we can just GO in the back yard.
I had to smile, and ask the boys if they thought that Dad didn’t have a plan for just such an occasion, already having stashed away 5 gallons of water.
My older son looked at me with the most distraught look and said “Dad, NEVER pass on the chance to GO in the back yard!”

I will spare you grime and boring details that compelled me to write this and just get to the heart of the subject.
My sons are always posing the question” wouldn’t it be great if you could go back and forth in time?”, for some reason at there young age they think it would be nice to correct mistakes they have made, just a footnote about my sons at the time of this posting they are ten and eight years of age. I of course tell them that time travel is not legal and is ill advised at best, being a reasonable and moderately educated individual, this seems to be enough to all but kill the subject at hand and they quickly move on to something else being children of limited attention spans.
Waite a minute you are probably saying “you think that time travel is possible?” why yes I do think that going back in time is possible if not probable. As for going forward well that is just absurd. How can you go to an event or “Time” that has yet to happen? If one where to go back on a time line or a shadow of a past event why is that so absurd to believe that this is not possible? But here come the fun part. If you where to go back in time to observe an event, become a face in the crowd, are you in fact becoming part of the event or have you just changed things by overlapping two time lines so the event may not even exist?
Sorry about that but some times I am distracted by my own rambling. Getting back to my boys some time I have to wonder if they are going to grow up with some kind of label just because of the things that I believe? I guess that that is the price I pay for not just being a sheep and following the thoughts of the majority.
