I was talking to my GM and he related a story that kept me chuckling all day. The story is the same, but the names have been omitted to keep me out of trouble.
The GM and the owner of the company where talking about a good deal that the GM got on fish. The owner was disappointed to find out that it was at a store that he was currently boycotting, for reasons that only he could understand. So armed with social resolve he ask the GM if he would make the purchase for him that way he could keep the boycott firm. Did I mention that the GM would have to pay for it, that made sense because he (the owner)didn’t want to give them any of his money.
Let me explain the moral of the story: if you really want something and don’t want to get it, have someone els get it for you and than its ok.
Nope it still seems wrong to me. Its kind of like the carbon offset craze of a few years back you “pay someone to do the right thing so you don’t have too”.I could just rant all day about people doing crap like this. Come on people if you are going to do something do it your self!
